This is Reed and Kate's story.
At the beginning of the story Kate is broken hearted by the one man that she believed loved her, Kyle. He went off his freshman year of college wanting to start the year off single. Also leaving Kate behind, all alone, just when the one person she trusted and needed most walks out of her life as well. Kate is then going off to college, where she will become friends with the sasstastic Mags and together they will enter into the journey that will change both of their lives forever.
Reed is a popular, blue-eyed, super rich boy who is unusually down to earth, and has been hurt in the past. He's only ever used the girls that have walked across his past, but when you indulge deeper into the book you find out what's gotten him so interested in one night stands. But when he meets Kate at a party he needs to decide whether Kate is worth giving up using women and being in a committed relationship with a girl who isn't quite sure how to trust anymore.
Kate has the choice to either stay shy and closed off towards everyone, or to jump out of her comfort zone and take a chance with a boy she never would've thought would be so into her. Together, Kate and Reed have to decide if they want to stay committed to each other, and take on the many forces that are trying to tear them apart, or to just walk away and stay comfortable in their own little worlds.

Let me start off by saying a big Thank You to Melissa Rolka for this amazing book! I am absolutely in love with Reed as a book boyfriend! And Kate is such an amazing main character who goes through so much in this book, it's hard not to like her. Reed and Kate start out with harmless flirting that turns into friendship, and then finally something more. He literally becomes her knight in shining armor one night and shows just how much bee cares about her. I can not wait to read the next book!
This is a hard book for me to review. The writing was stilted (especially most of the dialog) and the editing wasn't that great. Kate was a pretty annoying female, kind of passive and wishy-washy, which left her kind of stringing along the guys she met. Her inability to be firm with her ex led to a lot of problems for herself and others that got sucked into her life. That being said Reed was incredibly awesome and sizzling hot - the scenes with him were electric! I'm guessing he's the reason I couldn't put this book down. As soon as I finished it I purchased the next in the series, go figure...
Take this journey by reading this book, you won't be disappointed...so good!!
Kate is starting college and trying to move on from a broken heart. Not only has Kyle, her boyfriend, broken up with her the last year of high school but her mother has left as well. Moving away to college is a fresh start for her and she wants to come out of her shell. She has Maggie who is a great friend to her and she is making more friend each day. There are several guys that peak her interest, and Kyle wants her back. She meets Reed and is instantly drawn to his blue eyes, but she knows he wouldn't be interested in her. Or could he?
I read several books a day. Most times, the characters blend together and I get storied mixed up with each other. This story is an exception. I even went as far as buying the next installment (I hardly ever pay for kindle books and generally surf the free titles). I am very happy I found this title under the free books. I read both this and the next installment in one night.
I am 24 years old, usually at that line where some teen novels are too immature while others straddle the line of maturity and immaturity that keep me interested. This story, about a young girl her freshman and sophomore years of college, is a perfect fit. The narration between Kate and Reed is wonderful. I began loving the two of them right from the start. The story is very realistic and you are able to identify with many of the feelings within this story.
Kate has an emotional roller coaster ride in this novel and understanding her thoughts and feelings make you love her even more. She's not the perfect heroine and, as a reader, your able to understand her actions. I love to see how she progresses in this book. She is portrayed as a realistic young woman who goes through many emotional traumas. At times, she is unable to cope. It is at this point Reed becomes her saving grace. The emotional bond they have is amazing. Quick side note, is Reed not the perfect man or what? By the end **semi-spoiler** the reader is unsure where things between them lie after everything that has happened.
I think this is such a great read and I would recommend it to anyone who loves this genre. I haven't read any other books by this author but I am looking forward to the third book of this series!

Haven't accomplished much since I began to read this book... it's a distraction...
You fall in love with Kate and her new friends instantly...
You get glimpses of her ex Kyle...
But you love the guy with the blue eyes..... Reed
But they do nt connect for some time...
It's about standing up for your self.. moving on...emotional family life...
Kate is a true person just doesn't remember to stand up to what she believes in...
Until it's too late ....but is is too late ?
Kate hits bottom, and everyone is there to help , but, Kate has to help herself....
Great ending and story... it's a cliffhanger but it's one you can with <3
